Amid the beautiful scenery and view of Lake Ontario at Spencer Smith park came the suite sound of a familiar tune playing for Honeymoon Suite fans at the Burlington Sound of music festival.

Derry Grehan's amazing trademark guitar riffs mesmerized us as the first song began and with Johnnie Dee's powerful sultry voice serenading the crowd we were in rock n' roll heaven.

We were also treated to a wicked guitar solo performance by Derry Grehan and Keyboard player Peter Nunn was equally enchanting as he played for the many people who had gathered at the Bell Canada stage near the beautiful view of Lake Ontario.

If there was a roof over the area they would have blown the roof down.

The guys performed all of their wicked rock tunes which included The otherside of midnight which was the song that opened up the show.

The other songs they performed were feel it again, new girl now, what does it take, burning in love, miracle, gone, touch the sun, all along you knew, wave babies, stay in the light, looking out for number one, Still lovin you and What I know. The encore song was Love Changes everything which was a song from their third Album Racing After Midnight

The crowd went wild with each note that was sung and played by the guys and it was truly a wicked turn out for their show which began at 3:30 in the afternoon.

I attended the event with my friend and her two young kids who had never seen Honeymoon Suite live.

The kids danced their little buns off and I thought it was just darling.

The highlight of their day was being able to meet Johnnie Dee and Derry Grehan after the show. Mercedes got a y108 sticker signed by Johnnie and her little balloon lady bug that was tied around her wrist signed by Derry.

Dakota got some stickers signed too and I can honestly those two kids were like the rest of us who are long time hms fans were truly on cloud nine.

The energy was on high for everyone and it was an amazing day, one I am sure my two little friends will keep locked forever in their memory for a life time.
